Librestream is seeking a Director, Demand Generation, to help create a comprehensive demand generation ecosystem that drives increased demand and high-quality leads to fuel a rapidly growing sales team, new global markets, and high growth trajectory.


This role will report to the VP of Marketing, and will own the marketing funnel, including events and tradeshows, digital demand generation, and paid digital advertising channels. The person selected for this role will be motivated, self-starting, and bring strong demand generation experience relevant to SaaS or technology solutions across North America, European, Australian, and Asian markets.


The Director, Demand Generation will lead the strategy, execution, tracking, and measurement of the entire demand generation process, including top of the funnel lead generation, lead nurturing and support of the inbound and outbound sales development strategies alongside the Inside Sales/Sales Development team. This is a hands-on role. The ideal candidate should enjoy rolling up their sleeves, recommending “better ways to do it”, thinking creatively, and being very organized as they work across numerous activities and cross-functional teams.  


Key responsibilities:

  • Develops the demand generation strategy, plan, and calendar to meet the target number of qualified leads within a specific timeframe.
  • Develops campaigns that support global growth and expansion activities across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
  • Establishes conversion benchmarks and tracks and reports results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to the leadership team.
  • Plans the schedule, strategy, and execution of global events to support sales, product and customer awareness.
  • Works closely with regional sales directors and the inside sales team to plan, communicate and execute strategies to support inbound and outbound marketing and sales efforts.
  • Leverages cross-functional team intelligence to establish an ideal customer profile and targeted attack plan.
  • Plan the strategy and manage the demand generation ecosystem, which includes the end-to-end strategy inclusive of digital advertising, website, paid social, 3rd party media, PPC and other applicable demand generation channels.
  • Measures and reports the demand generation strategy and goals to key individuals and teams on a regular basis.
  • Manages the relationships with outside paid media publishers, associations, and relevant vendors and regularly evaluates performance of each channel and relationship.
  • Provides recommendations and best practices to improve the technical process of lead capture, pre-qualification, and automation.


  • Minimum BA degree or equivalent required. Specializations in Marketing, Mass Communications or Digital Marketing will be given preference, but not required.
  • 8+ years of B2B demand generation management. Software or other technology industry experience is strongly preferred. International experience is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience working with Salesforce and Pardot (comparable MAP experience will be considered).
  • 3+ years of personnel management experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and success with account-based marketing (ABM).
  • Demonstrated experience developing live/virtual event plans, strategy, and execution.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, ad serving tools, PPC platforms, and paid social media is required.
  • Strong communications skills, especially written are required. You will write or recommend copy for emails, landing pages, and other assets on a regular basis. 
  • Manage multiple vendors and third-party relationships, including selection, budgeting, negotiations, and establishing a continuous evaluation and improvement process.
  • A “roll up your sleeves mentality” is a must. This role will manage direct reports but must be willing to dive in and make an immediate impact.

A Day in the Life of the Director, Demand Generation

The Director, Demand Generation will come to work each day with a desire to drive high-quality leads that support a rapid-growth strategy. You will review the performance of recent events and campaigns and use strong analytical skills to find “ah-ha” data and continuously improve the demand generation strategy.

You will spend a good amount of time rationalizing the sales qualification process and providing insights and best practices to ensure every lead goes through a rigorous marketing qualification process and that sales development team members are utilizing best-in-class skills and tools to ensure no good lead gets left behind. You will inform the content team and provide insights and recommendations to create more interesting, intriguing, and impactful content.

Your strong organizational and project management skills will be critical to ensuring that deadlines are met, and deliverables are of the highest quality and represent Librestream’s position as the industry leader.

You will come to work each day with a balance of left-brain and right-brain capability. You will leverage data to make informed decisions while taking a creative and inventive approach to developing messaging, copywriting, and visual impact for demand generation efforts.

You will compulsively monitor the marketing and sales pipeline and regularly report expected and actual campaign outcomes and pipeline growth against targets. You will be a fail-fast, fearless tester of new ideas and concepts that strengthen the pipeline growth.
